Classic Insulated and Rover are different ways of filling a gap above a shirt. Classic has synthetic fill; Rover has grid fleece inside a stretch soft shell. A parent looking for a filled coat is not simply choosing between two versions of the same insulation. Use the kids’ jacket shortlist to identify the missing layer before narrowing the choice to these two constructions.
Existing shirt needs a filled coat
Classic has a relevant active cold-day account from Bryan, including a caveat about feeling cold in shade.
Existing layers need a stretch outer cut
Rover offers grid fleece, extended back coverage and a drop hood, but its three owners mainly report fit and first impressions.
The Classic page lists 180 grams polyfill without a clear area/total basis. The Rover page gives no comparable fill amount or garment weight. There is no sound arithmetic that turns these details into “Classic is warmer by” a percentage.
Use the intended underlayer in both try-ons
Classic’s successful field fit and Rover’s slightly-large account do not establish which cut will suit another child. Check reach and seated comfort in the real outfit. If a long stationary wait is the plan, Bryan’s moving-hunt experience is only partial evidence.
