This shortlist requires two things at once: owner support for quiet use and a shape that leaves the intended movement clear. A quiet coat with obstructive sleeves is not an acceptable substitute for a noisier one.
Three routes through the same requirement
| What needs to stay usable | Candidate | Evidence that limits the choice |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling and pullover entry | Shift Anorak | Damon’s quiet-use support and Richard/Pedro’s side-zip use do not guarantee access in your outfit |
| Pocket access with a full front opening | Shift Jacket | Jamie and Steve describe useful storage and movement, not a measured capacity |
| A substantial insulated coat | Weather Pro | Garret likes the quiet material; Nathan cannot use the excessive body/sleeve volume |
Assess ordinary movement first without, then with, your usual small pocket items. Listen to the received garment and note physical interference separately. Do not convert either observation into a prediction about animal reactions.
The two Shift openings are the close comparison once both pass your sound and movement checks. Weather Pro belongs here only when its more substantial coat role is useful and its volume remains manageable.
