Are you missing the shirt underneath your fleece, or the fleece above your shirt? Elevation Quarter Zip and Flux Quarter Zip answer those different gaps. Their similar neck openings can obscure that distinction.
Start with the layer you already own
- If your first layer fits and feels right but you want additional fleece, try Flux over it. Matt’s warmth and movable-fit account supports that role.
- If you want a thin adjustable-neck shirt to wear alone or beneath outerwear, investigate Elevation. Owners describe using the collar, zip backing and thumbholes in that role.
- If your first layer is already too warm or restrictive, do not assume adding Flux is the remedy. Resolve the shirt’s role and fit first.
Elevation has the more detailed fit warnings: Allen found the chest and forearms tight and expected excess length from sizing up. Flux’s two positive comments do not prove it is a guaranteed broader fit. Compare each over the clothing it will actually accompany.
| Measurement trap | Correct reading |
|---|---|
| Elevation 8.3 / 9.7 oz | Conflicting whole-garment figures, without a common measured-size basis |
| Flux 230 g/m² | Fabric mass per area, not the weight of a finished top |
Both measurements remain in the Elevation and Flux specifications. Neither is a warmth-to-weight ranking between these garments. Use the thumbhole diagnostic when Elevation’s reach is the unresolved fit issue.
