A bag-only figure describes fabric storage without necessarily including the frame that makes it wearable as intended. Compare complete systems before deciding which pack saves weight. Use the pack-options shortlist to decide whether you need day storage, overnight volume or a modular frame before comparing the weights.
| Listing | Figure | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Summit 5200 | 2.4 lb | Bag-only |
| Summit 5200 | 6.25 lb | Complete system |
| Summit 2700 | 5.85 lb | Complete frame-and-bag system |
| Full Curl Combo | 5.4 lb | Figure appears in frame section; complete total unresolved |
Build an equivalent equipment list
- Frame and suspension: included or separate?
- Main bag and lid: which pieces are in the quoted figure?
- Rain fly, pockets and other supplied accessories: included in the weighing protocol or only in the offer?
- Water reservoir and contents: do not silently include them in one pack and exclude them from another.
The 5200 page supplies both component and complete figures. The Full Curl description does not justify calling its frame figure a complete combo weight. Keep that comparison unresolved until the retailer clarifies it.
Use the Summit comparison when deciding between those complete systems. For your trip, weigh the actual assembled configuration after confirming the parts; a component claim is not your finished carried load.
